Description
Scientists that become Data Scientists in companies bring with them a particular academic baggage that defines the way they think, work and communicate in the new environment. In this talk, I will talk about pros and cons associated with this baggage, drawing from my personal story of transitioning to Data Science with a focus on how we love data and how we can improve communication with stakeholders through better data visualization and storytelling.
